check outs: MOVING OUT of Perkins Hall

1. You'll sign up for a walk-through with myself or one of my employees for sometime after your finals end/an hour or two BEFORE you intend on moving out. I'll have a schedule of times available taped to the top of my desk ledge. Only sign up when you're certain, please don't scribble out appointments a million times :) Thanks in advance! :)

2.All personal belongings (even though you’re staying) need to be on your bed (bathroom/kitchen items that are non-perishable). This will need to stay that way until we’ve checked the area your belongings are stored. Example: if your roommate has the bathroom and she’s leaving before you, you’ll need to have your things stored on your bed/desk until after her job is checked. If this is confusing, come talk to the head resident.

3. You will need to have ALL of your belongings (excess food, dishes, personal items, bedding...anything that's yours) moved OUT of the apartment BEFORE we come check. The lounge will be open for storage (for an hour or two) for this purpose...or you'll need to have things packed in the car you'll be using to move your things home/to another apartment. You may not store items in the walkway of your front door or the courtyard. You may not store things in the apartment over the break....if you're moving to another apartment complex, talk to the manager/head resident of that complex about storage options over Spring Break. Anything that is left behind that is not currently a tenant or that is not labeled will be thrown away to make room for new tenants' belongings.

4. You will need to have your whiteglove assignment completely finished BEFORE we walk through. We will let you know immediately if it's not complete, and will give you time to complete it. But if you don't complete it before you leave, you will be charged a cleaning fee.
