Christmas Decorations

Policy:

1. Artificial trees are preferred over fresh-cut trees.
2a. If using a fresh-cut tree, the base needs to have at lease 2 inches cut off before the stand is put in.
2b. Also, the tree stand needs to be filled with water continually (we dont' want it to be dry and spontaneously combust!!!)
3. Lights need to be cool-burning mini lights.
4. Lights need to be unplugged or turned off at bedtime, or when no one is home.
5. Extension cords should not be covered by carpet or rugs.
6. Electric plug ins should not have multiple plugs in them.
7. Tree should be placed away from heaters.
8. When the tree is dry needles start to fall, and the tree needs to be removed (trees should be put on the south lawn near the garbage rooms by the driveway).
9. Before apartments are vacated during Christmas vacation, all Christmas decorations and trees need to be taken down (trees should be put on the south lawn near the garbage rooms by the driveway).
10. Use sticky tack on doors instead of tape.
